As you can imagine, the day before an exciting home game, the crowds on campus are large. The day before the Stanford game was no exception. The bookstore was hopping with fans from both teams. More ND than Stanford but that's to be expected. Laurie was invited by the bookstore to autograph Play Like A Champion Today®  items for the fans. What a turnout she had. It kept her busy and she had a great time meeting everyone. Channel 22 News was videoing her through the process and did a nice story on the evening news.

Laurie had also autographed multiple copies of the book by John Heisler "100 things a Notre Dame fan should know & do before they die".  Laurie is featured on page 162 as the 58th thing to know. Mr. Heisler was to be at the bookstore on Saturday 9-25 to autograph the books as well. A nice way to start a collectible for the fans.

The font for Play Like A Champion Today was done by the artist Laurie Wenger. This is her lettering style when she made signs.

The sign hanging above the PLACT sign in the lockeroom was done by her as well. Just after the 1988 championship was won, a commercial was being made for the Irish. The crew noticed that the 88' championship record was not on the sign. So in the middle of the film crew and actors. Laurie was on a ladder lettering in the 1988 championship details.
